Imiyati

Believed drowned

Imiyati was found in the autumn of 1983 in a swamp. Although reports vary in their detail, it seems that Imayati was lost in February 1977, perhaps when her younger sister and three other children were drowned while on a fishing trip. Her family had apparently spent months looking for her, but subsequently moved away from the area.

When found, some reports suggest Imiyati looked no older than 10 years old, and could no longer talk, or even laugh or cry.
