The Monkey Boy of Casamance
Of the Child of Casamance we know very little. A naked tanned boy aged around 16 arrived in a village one evening. He climbed like the monkeys he is said to have been raised by. Although he was not deaf — he was taught to obey commands — the Child of Casamance couldn't speak.
